The dream starts to come true

Far from the sea and at the foot of the majestic Mount Shasta sat a boat that would one day would be mine. A captivating 36 foot rough water (Monk design), I did not see the neglect nore the never ending re-fit, I was blinded by her lines. Her stearn view reminded me of my early days watching St Davids life boat entering the slip as it rushed towards the sea. My dream would need some serious investment that I wasn't sure I could soley handle, fourtunatley I have wonderful friends Don and Marge, who came to my rescue.
My heady dreams of Glacier Bay and wonderful trips through the north west passage were burnt into my mind long before I put a penny down. After the survey ( that I was dreading - but needn't have) the purchase was made! Then promptly the road transport organised, the taxes paid at the Canadian border and finally the boat arrived in Kelowna for a two year re-fit.
After the re-fit and it's maiden launch on Lake Okanagan, she's ready to be transport to Vancouver this year, just a few minor updates, a new chart plotter (not sure whether to use MaxSea or Noble Tec). She also needs a new name, that we are struggling with, the present name is Doire, not really fitting the adventures I have in mind.
